Executive Summary

Freshwebdesign.com Ltd was formed in the year 2000 as the result of a merger of two smaller companies; PublicIT & Weathersby Web. Since being formed as a Limited company, Freshwebdesign.com Ltd has grown steadily until its growth required us to move to new office premises in June 2002, when we had reached the stage of doubling our turnover in year two.

Since moving to the new office, we have continued to grow, indeed, this growth is now beginning to accelerate. We have designed a new product called ‘Electrofile’ which is now being marketed through our partner organization, Electrofile Ltd. The current rate of growth, coupled with the opportunities opening up through Electrofile, make these exciting times for Freshwebdesign.com Ltd.

We are currently exploring the possibility of bringing new quality standards to our organization through BSI 9000 and Investors in People and are working with Business Link for Essex to bring these projects to a successful conclusion.

Marketing Strategy

Our current marketing strategy has been developed as we have grown using the skills and knowledge that exist within the business.

We have designed a comprehensive web site that details all of the services we provide and draws people in through ‘Special offers’, such as free domain name registration for the first year of your hosting packages and a 0845 dial up number to access the internet.

In addition to our web site, we have also acquired a second site; Key-Names.co.uk. This site gives us another route to market and widens the potential customer base. We also keep a comprehensive database of current customers and contact them regularly to ensure that we maximize business opportunities.

However, by far, our most lucrative new business opportunities have come through direct recommendation. This is gratifying as it helps cement our reputation as one of the most reliable, high quality service providers in the market.

Electrofile is being marketed via a separate company; through this company we are negotiating with several potential customers for the supply and maintenance of this exciting new electronic filing system. As sales are made, we will produce and supply the product giving a large potential boost to the profitability of Freshwebdesign.com Ltd.
